Everything you need to know about Singaris, Tunisian olive oil, health benefits, and ordering.
About Our Oil
What makes Singaris different from other olive oils?
Singaris is an early-harvest extra virgin olive oil from Tunisia with 400+ mg/kg polyphenols — among the highest levels found in any commercially available EVOO. It is cold-pressed within hours of harvest, USDA Organic certified, and sourced from single-origin Chetoui and Chemlali olive varieties in the Sfax region of Tunisia.
What is the polyphenol content of Singaris?
Singaris contains 400+ mg/kg of total polyphenols, well above the 250+ mg/kg threshold considered "high polyphenol." Each batch is independently lab-tested and results are available on request. Learn what polyphenols are →
Where do your olives come from?
Our olives are grown in the Sfax region of Tunisia, one of the premier olive oil producing areas in the Mediterranean. We work with family-owned groves that have cultivated olives for generations. Why Tunisian olive oil is exceptional →
What variety of olives do you use?
We use two primary Tunisian varieties: Chetoui (the polyphenol champion — bold, peppery, complex) and Chemlali (smooth, fruity, versatile). Both varieties are indigenous to Tunisia and produce oil with naturally high polyphenol content.
Is Singaris extra virgin or regular olive oil?
Singaris is always Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) — the highest grade of olive oil. It is cold-pressed from fresh olives without heat or chemicals, with acidity below 0.3% (well under the 0.8% maximum for extra virgin classification).
Health & Nutrition
What health benefits does high-polyphenol olive oil provide?
High-polyphenol EVOO has been linked to reduced risk of heart disease, lower inflammation, improved brain function, better blood sugar regulation, and potential cancer-protective effects. The EU has approved an official health claim: olive oil polyphenols protect blood lipids from oxidative stress at 5mg hydroxytyrosol daily. Complete health guide →
How much polyphenol do I need daily for health benefits?
For the EU-approved health claim, you need 5mg of hydroxytyrosol daily. With Singaris 400+ mg/kg polyphenol content, approximately 1-2 tablespoons per day provides therapeutic levels.
Is Singaris safe for cooking and frying?
Yes. Extra virgin olive oil has a smoke point of 375-410°F (190-210°C), suitable for most cooking methods including sautéing, roasting, and light frying. Singaris is also excellent as a finishing oil where its complex polyphenol-rich flavor shines.
Does Singaris have low acidity?
Yes. Singaris has an acidity level below 0.3%, well under the 0.8% maximum for extra virgin classification. This low acidity indicates exceptional freshness and quality.
